The Truth About Heaven's Winged Messengers

Angels are much more than divine Messengers of God. They're agents of death, glorious vessels
of God's Love for his creation, grim soldiers of wrath and destruction. Angels are really fragments
of God. The word Angel stems from the Greek word "Angelos" meaning messenger. They are the
shadow side of God. the term originally referred to the belief that angels were the face God
turned toward humanity because the light of divine splendor was to intense to bear.

Two Angels are named in the Old Testament. Michael, the Warrior who escorts the souls of the
righteous to Heaven, and Gabriel, the Herald who announces God's Glory. An Angel, not the Devil,
is the true Lord of Hell, Uriel, "The Fire of God" was set to guard the gates of Eden after Adam
and Eve were expelled. He rules the Sun and the Lake of Fire... and on Judgment Day, Uriel
will break down the gates of hell and resurrect the dead.

Angels are mentioned in the Koran, the Islamic Bible. This Bible was dictated to Mohammed
by the Archangel Gabriel - who also told the Virgin Mary she was to give birth to Christ.

The Angel of Death kills with beauty. According to the Sufi Muslims, Azreal was elected
Angel of Death for bringing God the dirt used to create Adam. When the time comes for us
to die, Azreal appears in a form so beautiful, the Mortal Soul falls in love and is drawn
out of the body.

Angels sometimes walk in disguise. Most Angels appear in divine glory, but the
Archangel Raphael, the patron of healers and gypsies, often appears as a simple traveling man.

Little Angels are not so grandiose. According to legend, Angels watch over every
element of creation and each blade of grass has a tiny Angel urging it to grow.

So call upon your Guardian Angels .....they love you dearly...

Blessings, Carole
